Y4 Animation

By | Uncategorised, Year 4 | No Comments

Some children in Y4 have started to look at stop frame animation. We experimented to begin with to create short clips. We will be designing our own Christmas animation towards the end of the week…watch this space!

Top Trump Computing!

By | Uncategorised, Year 3 | No Comments

We have just started learning all about databases in year 3. We created our own paper databases using top trump cards – we really thought about the terms ‘record’ and ‘field’. The afternoon was lots of fun, battling our minion cards against one another. We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed creating and playing with them!

Old Vic days 2 and 3!

By | News, Uncategorised, year 6 | No Comments

Hi everyone sorry there were no posts yesterday evening, hurricane Barney meant we had a power cut and were unable to update. We’ve had an action packed two days: climbing, abseiling, raft building, caving, slippery pole, climbing jacob`s ladder and archery!

Children are having a lovely time and are a little soggy! Some accidently went for a swim yesterday when their journey in their rafts didn’t quite go to plan! We’ve been doing lots of activities that involve team building and even Miss Cross and Miss Brailsford had a go at Jacob’s Ladder, although Miss B was hanging upside down by her boot!!

Enjoy the pictures, will try and update again tomorrow!

Old Vicarage first day!

By | Uncategorised, year 6 | No Comments

All arrived safely and lots of happy faces!

Children have been jousting and on the zip wire this morning and have been on a 2 mile hike around the local area. Lots of jumping in muddy puddles and tired legs!  We even found a four leaf clover! Joel no longer smells of roses after falling knee first into a fresh cowpat!

Currently playing in the games room getting ready for evening entertainment, let’s hope they’re worn out enough so that we get some sleep tonight (if only!)

Enjoy the pictures, will post more tomorrow!

9 times table!

By | Uncategorised, Year 4 | No Comments

Click the link below to hear Mr. Ray’s maths class singing the 9 times table in the style of ‘Rather be by Clean Bandit ft Jess Glynee’

Please excuse Liam scraping his chair across the floor at the beginning!

1 times 9 is 9 — 2 nines are 18

Then it’s 27 — 4 nines are 36

5 times 9 is easy — equals 45

6 times 9’s a breeze, yeah — equals 54

(low bit)

7 nines are 63, 8 nines are 72

9 nines are 81

10 nines are 90, and then it’s 99

12 nines 108

If you know all your nines  then just say it

It’s no shot in the dark when you play it

Know with all of your heart you can make it

Learning my tables there’s nothing I’d rather sing

N-n-nine nine nines

No song I’d rather sing      x3

Learning my tables there’s nothing I’d rather sing
