Yesterday KS2 had a very exciting afternoon! We were lucky enough to meet three of West Bromwich Albion’s famous football players and ask them questions! Craig Dawson, Callum Mcmanaman and Saido Berahino joined us for an assembly, telling us all about their favourite games and goals and even what career they would have chosen if they hadn’t become footballers. After their Q&A they had some photos taken with us and left us some of their autographs for us to take home.
We had a fantastic afternoon and can’t wait to welcome them again in the future!
This week, children across the school have been practising retelling ‘The papaya that spoke’. We have been using the symbols below to help remind us of the story. Can you work out the story?
Below are a few resources to support parents/guardians who may be worried about their children.
This week has been French week in Y4. We had a visit to the Imagination Studio and had a tour of Paris. Jackson was a little confused and thought we had passed Blackpool tower. Today, we have been making French bread and even tried our hand at French knitting! Looks like Reon will be taking orders soon. Hopefully the bread will be ready to taste tomorrow, that’s as long as Mr Ray doesn’t burn it!
Today, we wrote our diary entries in the imagination studio about our trip to the Safari Park. We were surrounded by pictures of our day on the walls around us, we had the smell of the forest to stimulate our senses. We also had prompts on the floor to remind us of the features we needed to use as well as calming sounds and videos to help us work. We had lots of fun in the studio and our writing is fantastic!
