We are encouraging Parents to download and use the Jolly Phonics Letter Sounds App free for Iphone and Android phones and Tablets. This is a useful tool for helping children develop those early skills sounding out letters.
This week, children across the school have been practising retelling ‘The papaya that spoke’. We have been using the symbols below to help remind us of the story. Can you work out the story?
Below are a few resources to support parents/guardians who may be worried about their children.
The children in Reception had lots of fun learning about Eid. We listened to stories and some of the children told us about how their families celebrate.
On Friday afternoon we had an Eid celebration. The children had cakes and samosas, danced, played with lots and lots of balloons, and made Eid cards. Afterwards we all said ‘Eid Mubarak’ to the mums that had organised the event and everyone had sweets and a balloon to take home. It was lots of fun!
A huge well done to all the children/parents/staff members that joined in today’s sports relief mile! We all had great fun running around the school grounds raising money for charity. We will let you know how much we raised next week. A big thanks to Mrs. Ives for organising the event.
