Firstly a huge thanks to Mrs Ives who organised the day and to all the adults that were able to help.
Thanks to all the parents that were able to attend one of the the sports day sessions and we hope you enjoyed it as much as the staff and children did. A special thanks to the parents that took part in our parent races throughout the day, we appreciate your effort and the children loved seeing you all get involved!

Ferndale Primary
The whole school enjoyed our ‘world Book Day’. The day began with an assembly where we all sang a song related to this special day. Lots of book Characters enjoyed work related to various books.
Staff have displayed books they are reading where children can comment or ask questions.
Well done Sariah’ a brilliant face painted by mom. All of year 6 got into the spirit of what ‘Red nose is about’.
Watch this space as to how much we raised.
We raised money for young carers. £340 was handed over today to “Sandwell young carers association” in our assembly.
This was a hugh effort on our children’s behalf.
Well done everyone!
Year 6 had a great time dressing up as Victorians. We learnt all about the British Empire in the 1800’s, found out some horrible facts about diseases and surgery at the time and about some of the explorers that found new land.
Our recent communication from Chester Zoo is that the children of Year 6 have raised £190.00 from our sale of orange wrist bands and donations from the children on our’ wear something orange day.’
This will plant 19 trees in Borneo for the Orangutans.Orangutan poster
Well done to Ferndale’s choir who raised £300 which will be matched by the Government making a grand total of £600 towards the Ebola crisis.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all family and friends that have supported us this year.
