EYFS Curriculum

The EYFS is based upon four principles;

1. A Unique Child
2. Positive Relationships
3. Enabling Environments
4. Learning and Development

The Early Years curriculum is centred on 3 prime areas of learning:

1. Communication and Language.
2. Physical Development
3. Personal, Social and Emotional Development

And through four specific areas of learning which strengthen the prime areas.

These are:

1. Literacy
2. Mathematics
3. Understanding of the World
4. Expressive Arts and Design

Our curriculum is underpinned by the Educational Programmes from the statutory framework 2021 as shown below.

Using the Educational Programmes as well as the needs and interests of our children we create half termly plans as shown below.
