Class 1T have been working very hard this term making their houses!
In our topic lessons we have been learning all about different types of homes and talking about what makes them different. We have also learnt about the different features of houses and added these to our masterpieces!
Firstly a huge thanks to Mrs Ives who organised the day and to all the adults that were able to help.
Thanks to all the parents that were able to attend one of the the sports day sessions and we hope you enjoyed it as much as the staff and children did. A special thanks to the parents that took part in our parent races throughout the day, we appreciate your effort and the children loved seeing you all get involved!
We would love to hear your comments and suggestions about how the day ran, please leave a ‘reply/comment’ to this post. Photos to follow in the next few days!
Thank you for your support,
Ferndale Primary
Our topic work this term has been all about houses and homes. In Design Technology we have all made our own houses adding the features we have been learning about. It took us about 3 weeks and we have had lots of fun!
Check out the pictures below…
This week some children in Year 1 have been learning about 3d shapes. Today we made our own 3d shapes using straws for the edges and plasticine for the vertices! Look at our fantastic pyramids and cubes!!
We all had a great time at the RSPB on Tuesday. We went pond dipping and visited different habitats to see what mini beasts we could find.
Here they are ….. the finished products. We are very proud of what we achieved. We worked together on this project and learned new skills that we can use in our DT work next half term Keep your eyes open for what we get up to next!
